ZTE has come out with a new smart phone in China, called the Blade A2S. This phone is the Blade A2s successor and costs approximately INR 6900. The price of the ZTE Blade A2S is the same as that of the Blade A2 but the Blade A2S does come with improved features.
The design of the device is different when compared to its successor as it has more prominent antenna lines towards the top and the bottom of the device. The metal body does however stay the same as the one which is seen in the Blade A2. The rear camera is at the same position as its successor but the position of the LED flash has been shifted below.
The fingerprint sensor which is present towards the rear of the device, has been placed below the camera while the ZTE logo has been moved towards the centre of the device. Towards the front of the device, the display has very thin bezels on the sides while the bezels towards the top and the bottom are thicker in comparison.
The ZTE Blade A2S has a Full HD (1080p) display of 5.2-inches. The smart phone runs on an octa-core chipset from MediaTek MT6753. This chip set clocks at 1.3GHz and is paired with Mali-T860 GPU. The smart phone has a RAM of 3GB and storage of 32 GB. This storage is expandable with the help of a microSD card.
The smart phone also has a rear camera of 13 megapixels with PDAF and HDR. Towards the front, the camera is of 5 megapixels and has an aperture of f/2.2. This camera can be used for video calling and selfies. The device also connects to Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, USB 2.0, a 3.5mm audio jack and also has dual-SIM support. The battery on the Blade A2S is a 2,540mAh battery which is non-removable. The Operating System that it is working on is an Android one although the specifcs about the OS are not known.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 146.1×72.6×7.5mm while it weighs 138 grams. The smart phone is going to go on sale from the 8th of September on JD.com. Registrations for the same have already begun. The phone will be made available in Grey and Gold coloured versions. However, nothing has been said about if and when the device will be made available internationally.
